4G9 Tower: Progress as at 17/8/2011. Temporary Certificate of Fitness for Occupation (TCF)

Office tower for The Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture is nearing full completion with rectification works in progress. The handing over process is currently underway towards full occupancy by the aforesaid ministry. Application for the final Certificate of Fitness for Occupation (full CFO) is being made upon having complied with inspection comments.

4G9 Tower: Progress as at 30th June 2011

Photographs taken by the project Resident Architect shows progress as at 30th June 2011, achieved completion of the facade works with interior works still on going. As of to date, application for Certificate of Fitness for Occupation has been submitted to Perbadanan Putrajaya for approval, before the building is handed over to the Ministry of Information, Malaysia.

Photographs showing construction progress as at 21/3/2011. Derrick cranes at roof level have been dismantled to enable work on remaining sections of the roof skylight structure to proceed towards completion. Painting works on exterior walls are in progress with final coat yet to be applied. Interior finishes are being installed at ground floor main reception lobby and at lower ground floor multi purpose hall. External works are in progress.

Facade lighting for 5G2 Government Buildings

Facade lighting for 5G2 building as inspected by Perbadanan Putrajaya (Tn Hj Amran and his team) on the night of 8th March 2011. Lighting design by Lightwave Sdn. Bhd. (En Nagieb Azhar) based on architectural design intention by the architect, SeniBahri Arkitek. Jafri Merican Architect represents the design and build contractor, Bina Goodyear Berhad. Facade works by Uniwall Sdn. Bhd.

Masjid Al Mujahiddin Extension, Damansara Utama

Preliminary conceptual drawings for proposed extension of Masjid Al Mujahiddin, Damansara Utama. The design intention is for the extension to blend into the existing architectural features of the present mosque.

The proposal is based on requirements put forward by the mosque working committee. The ground floor comprise a Zakat collection counter and office, retail spaces for rental and a management office. The first floor will have meeting rooms, a classroom, a library and a small dining area. The design considers air flow and cross ventilation into and around the existing mosque area.

4G9 Tower: Progress as at 16/2/2011

Regular monthly progress photographs. Tower cranes have been dismantled and works on the roof and skylight structure in progress. Interior works and tile laying still in progress but spray painting works hardly progressed since the previous progress photographs were taken on 17/1/2011. The Government offices in Putrajaya developed by Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd is part of privatisation plan by the Government, implemented by UKAS (Unit Kerjasama Awam Swasta) based on a build, lease and transfer arrangement. Chapter 10 of the Ninth Malaysia Plan 2006-2010 under the heading 'Benefits of privatisation' stated that : 'Privatization also led to speedy delivery of facilities, such as in the development of the Federal Government offices in Putrajaya through the build-lease-transfer mode'.

4G9 Tower: Progress as at 17/1/2011

Works proceeding with roof structure and external wall spray paint as the project nears completion. Culmination of the Fibonacci concept of the facade is taking shape as patterns formed by the external aluminium rods are progressively installed at the topmost floors.

Parcel F9 and F10, Putrajaya.

Final design scheme for parcel F9 and F10 jointly developed with S&O Architects (F11), submitted to Perbadanan Putrajaya for planning permission, and proceeding with preparation of tender drawings. The design was developed based on concepts initiated by the lead architects, Pakatan Reka Architects Sdn Bhd (PRA).
