Photographs taken during my trip to Shanghai, at the Pudong Financial District. Where the Huangpu river curves round creating the semicircular waterfront facing the Bund across the way, skyscrapers define the architectural character of this precinct called Lujiazui. It was a pleasant surprise to discover a little heritage building here called Master Wu Changshuo Memorial Hall built sometime around the turn of the last century. Located very near to the Jinmao and SWFC Tower, among the tallest structures in the world today, the occasion presented me with an opportunity to take some unique photographs.

ReplyDeleteMy friend Syed Alwi Alhabshi took photos of a similar nature in various places around Shanghai, the same trip titled "East meets West".
